REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS GRANDSTAND LIGHTING - GREENE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS COUNTY OF GREENE
Sealed Request for Proposals for the purchase and installations of Grandstand LED Sports Lights at the Greene County Fairgrounds will be received by the Greene County Controller’s Office, Greene County Office Building, 93 East High Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370 until 1 p.m. prevailing time on Thursday June 20, 2024, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. The materials below shall be delivered to the Greene County Fairgrounds, 107 Fairgrounds Road, Waynesburg, PA in new condition and installed. • Design, layout, and installation of the LED Sports Lighting will follow all industry standards regarding efficiency and sizing for the Grandstand Area to be illuminated. • Dimensions of the grandstand area to be illuminated is approximately 500’ by 225’. • The successful bidder will remove existing metal halide lights and connections from the grandstand. • Greene County expects at least two lights on each of the eight grandstand vertical structures on the southside of the area to be illuminated. • Greene County expects two poles with at least three fixtures on the northside of the area to be illuminated. • All electrical connections, all mounting materials, and any permits will be the responsibility of the successful bidder. • The successful bidder will connect to the County’s current electrical infrastructure. • The successful bidder will be expected to coordinate with West Penn Power, if necessary • Factory Warranty for 5 years on all parts. Warranty on labor/installation for 1 year. • Work shall be completed by August 1, 2024. If that is not able to be accomplished, please note on your proposal. • Greene County Fair is August 4-10, 2024. • The current metal halide lights shall not be removed until all equipment and supplies are onsite. Furthermore, the current lights shall not be removed unless the contractor can ensure all items can be installed and tested prior to August 1, 2024. • Bidder shall coordinate with Fairgrounds Manager. Site visit is required and questions shall be coordinated by contacting Bret Moore, Director of Greene County Parks and Recreation, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. by calling 724-852-5323. Work under this contract is subject to the requirements of the PA Prevailing Wage Act and the requirements of the Public Works Employment Verification Act. A certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid must accompany all bids. A performance bond in an amount equal to the proposal will be provided to the County prior to any official award. Successful bidders will be required to furnish satisfactory proof of insurance to include naming the County of Greene as an additional insured.
