The Greene County Elections Office has announced that Online Absentee Applications are now available for the 2019 Municipal Election, which will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
The Online Absentee Applications can be accessed at
www.votespa.com/applyabsentee.
Tina Kiger, Elections Office Director, said these absentee applications are only available at this time to registered civilian voters who have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license or identification card.
Upon successful ID verification, the applicants’ absentee application data and digitized signature will be submitted to the Elections Office for review and processing, Kiger said.
The last day for registered voters to submit all applications – online and paper – is Tuesday, Oct. 29, by 5:00 p.m. The deadline for all voted ballots to be returned is Friday, Nov. 1 by 5:00 p.m.
All voted ballots must be delivered to the Elections Office by the voter themselves or by the U.S. mail. Any ballot retuned by a third party will not be accepted and may be voided. Postmarks will not count for the Nov. 1 deadline.
To avoid any problems caused by unforeseen delays in delivery, voters should submit their absentee application and voted absentee ballot well in advance of the deadline.
Absentee ballot applications are also available in the Elections Office.
Military and overseas voters who wish to apply for an absentee ballot are asked to used the federal form found at
www.fvap.gov/uploads/FVAP/Forms/fpca.pdf.
The last day for Greene County residents to register for the Municipal Election is Monday, Oct. 7.
