Controller Ami Cree


Ami Cree is a financial manager with 25 years of business experience. She is a 1989 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School. She attended Waynesburg College where she earned her Bachelors degree in Accounting, with a minor in Management. Ami also earned her Master’s Degree from Waynesburg College.

Ami Cree has been the owner of Padgett Business Services and a Registered Tax Return Preparer since June 2002. Prior to opening Padgett, Ami worked for a British owned company, Ellis & Everard, located in the Pittsburgh area. She was promoted two times in her 8-year tenure, from accounts payable clerk to Accounting Manager to Assistant Controller. Ami taught business math and management courses at the Greene County branch of Westmoreland County Community College from 2001 to 2005.

Ami resides in Khedive with her husband Bill, a third generation dairy farmer, and their three children, Al, Beth and Ani. She is very active in the community.  

“My work experience and education have led me to this new venture of Greene County Controller," Cree said. "It is a path I never imagined being on, but one that I am very excited about. This is a great opportunity to work for YOU, the people of Greene County, doing what I enjoy and am qualified to do.”

The Controller's office performs financial activities for county operations, including financial reporting, financial auditing, cash management and county employee payroll assistance. Ami has experience in ALL of these areas.
