July 23, 2017 GREENE COUNTY FLASHLIGHT DRAGS
Street racing without the jail time! held at the Greene County Airport, 2017 scheduled dates: May 21, June 18, July 23, August 27, and September 17. Dates are subject to change, rain dates will be held on the following weekend if schedules permit! Gates open at 12:00 noon, race starts at 2:00 p.m. Cost: $30 to race/$6 to watch. June 27, 2017 DOG WARDENS TO CONDUCT LICENSE, RABIES COMPLIANCE CHECKS in GREENE COUNTY
Dog wardens will be canvassing Greene County during the week of June 27 to ensure all dog owners have current licenses and rabies vaccinations for their dogs. Pennsylvania law requires that all dogs three months or older must be licensed by January 1 or each year.
The fee is $6.50 for each spayed or neutered dog and $8.50 for other dogs. Older adults and persons with disabilites may purchase a license for $4.50 for spayed or neutered dogs and $6.50 for others.
Additionally, all dogs and non-feral cats (three months of age and older) must be vaccinated against rabies. Booster vaccinations must be administered periodically to maintain lifelong immunity. Violators could be cited with a maximum fine of $300 per violation plus court costs.
Dog owners may purchase licenses online at www.licenseyourdogPA.com, in person at the county treasurer's office between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, or by mailing the application and payment to the Greene County Treasurer (93 East High Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370). Questions should be directed to the Greene County Treasurer's Office at 724-852-5225.

June 28-29, 2017 GREENE COUNTY DAY CAMP (Registration on Friday, June 16, noon to 3PM)
All Greene County children ages 5-15 are WELCOME to attend our county day camps. The programs include fun activities, with hot lunch and snacks provided ... come join the fun!. Featuring our UPSTREAM Program (YOU being Physical in Science, Technology, Recreation, Engineering, Art, and Math. Day camp hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm (except for July 4). Registration is held from noon-3 pm on Friday, June 16 at each camp site (open brochure for a list of campsites). Parent donations are greatly appreciated! Your sponsorship helps us provide quality programs & activities that benefit our youth at little or no cost.

June 29, 30 & July 1 & 2, 2017 CARMICHAELS 250th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Come out for our 4-day celebration with events at Carmichaels School, Greene Academy, Town Square, and Wana B Park. Kick-off celebration dinner on Thursday, June 30. Other events include wagon rides, train display, driving tour, commemorative quite, car show reenactor set-up, old-time church service and good foods. Click HERE for flyer of events.
