October 1, 2017 WARRIORS ROCK in CONCERT
Come out to hear Gary Racan and the Studio-E Band, the WARRIORS ROCK in concert starting at 3:00 PM, Waynesburg High School Auditorium. $10 ticket, general admission. In conjunction with the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall, come enjoy the concert before the closing ceremonies of the Vietnam Moving Wall Memorial! Benefits: Waynesburg American Legion Veteran's Home Fund.

October 1, 2017 1st ANNUAL PENN's WALK-in-the-WOODS
The local Woodland owners invite you to Penn's Walk in the Woods, 1st annual to celebrate Pennsylvania's forestland heritage with a state-wide "Walk in Penn's Woods Day" on Sunday, October 1, 2017.
This is the first of an annual event to encourage our citizenship to enjoy the forest. The event is sponsored by Pennsylvania Forestry Association (www.paforestry.org).
October 6-7-8, 2017 6th Annual CLARKSVILLE FESTIVAL

October 9, 2017 COLUMBUS DAY HOLIDAY NOTICE
Greene County Government Offices will be closed in observance of Columbus Day on Monday, October 9, 2017. Exceptions to the holiday would be Emergency Management/911 Center, the Greene County Prison, and the Transportation Office.
Greene County Government Offices will reopen at 8:30 am on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. FMI, contact the individual offices for further information, or call the County Commissioners Office at 724-852-5210.
The Greene County Transportation Office will be closed Monday, October 09, 2017 in observance of Columbus Day except for scheduled dialysis trips reserved by 12:00 pm on Friday, October 6, 2017. Our office will reopen Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 7:00AM.
All Greene County Transportation clients should schedule NO LATER than 12:00 PM (noon) on October 6, 2017 for Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
Clients may call the office at (724) 627-6778 or 1 (877) 360-7422 for information regarding hours for their service provider.
October 14, 2017 5th ANNUAL TRIVAL CONTEST (Registration deadline: Oct 1)
Central Greene Scholarship Trust - Saturday night Trivia event on October 14 at 6:00 at the Waynesburg Central High School. $1000 for the winning team's charity of choice. Sponsored by CGEA. Join us for the 47th Annual 4-H market hog show and sale on Saturday, October 14th show at 1:00 pm and sale at 7:00 pm. Held in the large arena barn at the Greene County Fairgrounds in Waynesburg, PA.
Approximately 50 Market Hogs for Sell . . . fill your freezer with local grown pork and support your local 4-H KIDS.

Street racing without the jail time! held at the Greene County Airport, Waynesburg, PA.
Updated RACE DATE Schedule: July 30 ✦ August 27 (PID DAY) ✦ September 17 ✦ October 1 ✦ October 15, 2017.
Dates are subject to change, rain dates will be held on the following weekend if schedules permit! Gates open at 12:00 noon, race starts at 2:00 p.m. Cost: $35 to race/$8 to watch (spectator).

October 21, 2017 THANKSGIVING DINNER
Saturday, October 21th, 5:00 pm at the Valley Chapel First United Methodist Church in Brock, PA. Come on out to our little country church for a big traditional turkey dinner with all its fixins'. It kicks off the fall season. Delicious dessert to take extra home with you! Take out orders available.

The EI-LICC presents: "Trick or Treat to Safety" held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25 at the Greene County Fairgrounds, Waynesburg.
Please Register in the Upper Auction Building when arriving!

Feel free to wear your "non-scary" halloween costume (optional) Trick-or-treat will occur at each of the informational booths following the evening's presentations.

November 27, 2017 2017-2018 SKATE & DANCE SEASON
